           Legacy of a Journey

                  May 3-6, 2006

This year the festival is dedicated to the memory of Irene Eveland...and what a legacy she left! She not only told at the festival year after year and was featured, she worked as a volunteer and sat on the festival board. For more information on this year's festival the website is up and running for 2006. Check it out at

Many of our Riverwinders will be telling again this year. Look at the schedule to find the times and locations of your favorite tellers. Riverwind regional tellers include Ron Adams, Mary Lu Bretsch, Lucy Grondahl, Marilyn Kinsella and Kathy Schottel. To read more about these tellers and other regional tellers, click on Regional Tellers.

Mary Lu Bretsch will be bringing some of her Millstadt students to the Ruthilde Kronberg Youth Concert again this year. The concert will be held at COCA in University City on Saturday, May 6, 2006, from 10:00 to 12:00. Marilyn Kinsella is the host and welcomes all who want to come to hear the next generation of tellers.

Our April meeting will be "color-full". Marion Nichols will bring some eggs for us to try our hand at a technique that will produce exquisite eggs for Easter morning. She asked each participant to chip in $5.00 for supplies. Don't miss out on this      eggs-salent opportunity!

               DATES

June Meeting Night - June 14th at The Rendezvous across the street from Bob's Rib Shack in Hartford. Bob will cater our food. We want to pay Bob a minimum of $100.00. If we have 10 or more in attendance the charge will be $10.00 and that includes tax and tip. However, if fewer than 10 show up, we will change each person just enough more to make up the deficit. This is the fairest way we could figure the cost.

Directions:

bulletTake I-270 across the bridge to Illinois.
bulletTurn at the first Exit - Rt. 3 going NORTH.
bulletApprox. 4 miles there will be a light and a sign for Hartford.
bulletTurn Right at this light onto Hawthorne.
