BRISTOL  HILLS

STORYTELLING  FESTIVAL

September 7 & 8, 2007

Congdon Park in Bristol, IN

Featuring:

ELIZABETH ELLIS is a versatile and riveting teller of Appalachian and Texas tales and stories of heroic American women, but is best known for her personal stories. She grew up in the Appalachian

Mountains and learned to tell stories from her grandfather who was a circuit-riding minister. Ellis brings with her a mesmerizing southern accent and a relaxed style of delivery.

LYN FORD is a fourth-generation storyteller who learned to tell by sitting knee-to-knee with family elders, listening to their stories. Her “Home-Fried Tales” are always filled with rhythm, rhyme, humor and heart. Lyn will surprise, delight, intrigue and enchant you—and she’ll do it all in the time it takes to tell a tale. She tells stories that make you laugh out loud and tales that make you think and remember.

BETH HORNER captivates audiences with a wide variety of folktales from around the world, literary, traditional, contemporary and original tales. With a vivacious stage presence and a warm energetic smile, Beth takes her listeners on journeys of adventure, warmth, wonder, haunting eeriness and laughter. Beth's goal as a storyteller is to entertain and to encourage her listeners to dip into the wealth of their own imaginations.
