Editor's Note

Spring
slipped by with a flurry of activities. I hope everyone has the
Illinois Storytelling,
Inc Calendar in their favorites to keep up to date with all the
storytelling that is going on around the state. There is so much to
write about. I hope you grab a cupajoe or a nice tall coke and read
about all the stories that are being shared in the Land of Lincoln.

In case you were wondering...Judy
Sima is the Regional rRepresentative on the NSN board. She periodically
asks for updates on what Illinois is doing and what ideas we have.
Here is her latest
report. If you have anything to add to these quarterly reports, just
pass it on to me and I'll be sure to get your responses to her.
-
NSN sends out many notices -
almost weekly. They like to keep the member up-to-date. Just one of the
many benifits to joining NSN. There are newsy
bits, ways to get rid of those nasty ink cartridges, and even a great
buy on books!
Here are some of the
latest posts.

August 13 - Spring Grove
Illinois Storytelling Festival
Have you been remembering the fun you had at the Illinois
Storytelling Festival last August? Over 500 story lovers came; we hope
you were one of them. And guess what? We'll be back! Mark your calendars
for Sunday, August 13, 2006. Once again we'll partner with the Spring
Grove Firefighters to put on a one-tent (maybe two) event. Save the date
and spread the word -- it's sure to be a day of good company and great
stories!
We hardly knew ya...

Hi All,
As you know, I am leaving Chicagoland for the sweet sunny south
around the beginning of August.
It has been a great 9+ years and it will be hard to say goodbye, but
it is time to go back home.
Before I go, I am performing one last time, in a beautiful setting
among the trees.
Please come out and let me say goodbye to you with some old stories
and some new ones.
Bring a picnic, a bottle of wine, folding chairs or a blanket...
Imagine Ravinia, but more intimate!
It would mean the world to me to have you there!
