The Kinsella Log Cabin

                                                      (circa 1860)

On August 14, 2004, the family took Drew Adele to the log cabin built by her great, great. great grandfather, William Kinsella. It was the home of her great, great grandfather, Lawrence Kinsella, great grandfather Cyril Kinsella, and grandfather Lawrence John Kinsella. It underwent renovations over the years as the family added indoor plumbing and electricity. An extension was added to the back of the house and siding covered it for many years. In 1976, the property was sold to the city of Fairview Heights for a nature park. The log cabin was restored as part of the city's celebration of the United States' Bi-Centennial Celebration.
